No motorboats are permitted on the 146-acre lake — small electric motors for fishing boats are allowed, which keeps it ideal for rowboats, paddleboats, pontoon boats, canoes, and kayaks rather than watersports. The community's clubhouse adds a banquet room, fitness room, arts & crafts room, game room, and indoor pool, and a second, larger lake nearby — Westcolong Lake, shared with the neighboring Masthope community — permits motorized boating for guests who want that option close by without it disturbing Fawn Lake itself.
